2010 Decennial Response Integration System (DRIS) Contract
Questions and Answers

2010 DRIS home || Library

Provided below are questions received through September 15th, 2003.

  1. Question: Is the Census Bureau currently evaluating COTS products related to the DRIS contract? If so will contractors have access to the evaluations? When do you anticipate being able to provide results about ongoing COTS evaluations? Does the Census Bureau intend to direct specific COTS products for some or all of the DRIS contract? If yes, please identify which portions of the DRIS contract the Census Bureau expects to require specific COTS products.

  2. Question: Can the Census Bureau provide a hard copy of all census forms used during the 2000 Decennial Census? Does the Census Bureau expect to change the scanning requirements for the DRIS contract?

Government Response (to questions 1 and 2): We are still defining the scope, high level requirements, and evaluation factors for this acquisition. Until we complete this process, we believe it is premature to respond to your questions. Too much is subject to change.

Please note we do plan to have a Q & A process associated with our vendor conference(s) and the release of the draft and final RFP. This website will publish information about these events as well as future questions and answers. Based on our current schedule, the first opportunity for questions and answers will be in the first quarter of calendar year 2005. If there are any changes to our schedule, they will be noted on the high level schedule posted on this site.
