Instructions to register with SAMís
If a company would like to provide services to the government and be on a GSA schedule, they must first register with S.A.M. (System for Award management) which will set you up to be ABLE to do business. SAM is a system that will register a business, categorize the company (small business, veteran owned etc.) and make sure they are in good standing then issue you a DUNS#. Without a DUNS, a government contract can not be awarded.
The company then must register with the Federal Business Opportunity website to be able to solicit for business, or be able to compete for jobs. Fedbizopps.gov is basically a platform where agencies post their needs and solicit business proposals for the work. Below are the links, in order, in which a company needs to follow in order to start competing.
