Presents estimates for the United States of the value of total new construction put in place by type of construction (residential, nonresidential, public utility, public buildings, and the like) and by type of owner (private, State or local, or Federal government). Seasonally adjusted annual rates in current and constant dollars and some comparative data for earlier years are also shown. Supplements provide data as follows: annual private nonresidential construction by geographic region and division, and quarterly value of private nonresidential projects started and completed.
