Presents, in succinct style and accompanied by illustrative graphs and tables, information on a variety of demographic, social, and economic topics. The report provides sources of additional information, including the names of subject specialists and their telephone numbers.
The report contains information on households and families, marital status and living arrangements, fertility, child care arrangements, geographic mobility, school enrollment, postsecondary school financing, educational attainment, labor force and occupation, money income, poverty, government program participation, health insurance, child support, and disability. In addition, information is furnished on national and State population trends and projections, as well as on the Black; Hispanic origin; Asian and Pacific Islander, American Indian, Eskimo, and Aleut populations; and the elderly population.
The statistics are based on the 1990 Census of Population and Housing, the Current Population Survey, the Survey of Income and Program Participation, and the National Center for Health Statistics Vital Statistics Registration System.
