AMERICAN
FACTFINDER
This workshop focuses on the American FactFinder (AFF). AFF
is a dynamic resource on the Census Bureau's web site that
will help you locate Census 2000 data quickly and easily.
It is the primary tool for retrieving reports, creating tables,
and generating thematic maps from Census 2000. |
COMMUNITY/NEIGHBORHOOD
ANALYSIS WORKSHOP
This workshop is aimed at those persons whose main interest
is small or sub-city areas such as tracts, block groups, blocks,
etc. It provides experience in analyzing census geography,
locating data for small areas, and preparing small area population
profiles. |

CENSUS
2000: UNDERSTANDING RACE & HISPANIC ORIGIN DATA
This two hour session explains how data on race and Hispanic
or Latino origin were collected in Census 2000. It reviews
the various Census 2000 products which present data on race
and ethnicity. An overview of population changes will also
be provided.

AGING
POPULATION WORKSHOP
This workshop is for planners, analysts, administrators, and
others who need data on the aging population and information
on data items by specific age groups. |
CENSUS
ON THE NET
This workshop provides an in-depth look at the Census Bureau's
web site, www.census.gov. It
describes the kinds of census data available on the Internet
and demonstrates how to access the information using interactive
tools, including American FactFinder. |
