Our Staff

The staff of the New York Regional Office of the U.S. Census Bureau collects economic and demographic data for 10 New Jersey counties and 9 New York State counties. We, along with 11 other regional offices, conduct surveys that produce a general and comprehensive study of the United State's economic and social conditions. Our office employs a field staff of approximately 200 part time interviewers who work from their homes administering questionnaires using laptop computers and in some cases paper questionnaires. Our Information Services staff is trained to provide assistance in locating, understanding, and using Census Bureau products.
