Statement of the Problem:
The variable ESUPWOAG was suppressed on the 2004 Panel Wave 5 public use file because of an instrument error. ESUPAMAD was also affected by this error in 2004, but was not suppressed, and overestimated the number of respondents paying support without an agreement. When the instrument error was corrected in the 2008 Panel, ESUPWOAG is no longer being suppressed, and ESUPAMAD correctly estimates the number of respondents paying support without an agreement.
Resolution:
Instrument error was corrected in 2008 Panel Wave 6.
