BigMatch: A Program for
Extracting Probable
Matches from a Large File
William E. Yancey
KEY WORDS: record linkage, software
ABSTRACT
We present documentation for running the BigMatch program, a new record
linkage tool for use in matching a very large file against a moderate size
file. For each of several blocking criteria, the program can extract likely
matching record candidates from the large file without requiring sorting of either
file.
