FSRDCs, NCHS, and IPUMS Collaborate on Workshop at 2024 PAA Annual Conference
FSRDCs, NCHS, and IPUMS will host a workshop at the 2024 Population Association of America’s (PAA) Annual conference. The workshop, titled “Leveraging Public- and Restricted-Use Datasets with IPUMS, NCHS, and FSRDCs”, will highlight demographic and health data while helping data users choose between public-use microdata and restricted-use microdata for their research aims. In addition, FSRDC and NCHS staff will introduce the Single Application Process portal used to request restricted-use data and discuss strategies for developing a strong research proposal.
PAA will be in Columbus, Ohio April 17-20. The workshop is scheduled for April 17 from 8am to 12pm. The cost to attend the workshop is $150 for registered PAA attendees. PAA attendees can register for the workshop through the PAA registration portal. Check the PAA website for more information on this workshop and the full schedule of events.
