2018 Product Calendar

The U.S. Census Bureau has posted anticipated release dates for each regular and recurring statistical product scheduled for release in 2018. These products are listed in the Census Bureau’s online product calendar, which is updated as needed throughout the year.

American Community Survey

2017 American Community Survey

Statistics on numerous demographic, social, economic and housing characteristics, including language spoken at home, educational attainment, commute to work, employment, mortgage status and rent, as well as income, poverty and health insurance coverage will be available. Statistics will be available for all geographic areas with populations of 65,000 or more. (Embargo subscribers will have access to these statistics beginning at noon EDT, Tuesday, Sept. 11, for release at 12:01 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 13.)

Detailed Occupation and Education Table Package

This is the first release of the table package showing detailed occupation and education for people age 25 and older. These tables were created with statistics from the 2016 American Community Survey. The tables show detailed occupation by sex and education for full-time, year-round workers; detailed occupation by median earnings in the past 12 months, sex, and education for full-time, year-round workers; and detailed occupation by median age, sex, and education for full-time, year-round workers. (Scheduled for release on July 23.)

Updates to HIV/AIDS Database

The U.S. Census Bureau’s annual update adds new data to this interactive global resource on the prevalence of HIV infection and AIDS cases and deaths in over 200 countries and areas around the world. The HIV/AIDS Surveillance Database compiles information on HIV infection and the AIDS pandemic from medical and scientific literature, presentations at international conferences, and the press. (Tentatively scheduled for release July 23.)

Health Status and Medical Services Utilization: 2013

This brief presents statistics on how adults in the United States view their overall health. It also covers some interactions with medical providers and the health care system. These statistics come from Wave 1 of the 2014 Survey of Income and Program Participation. (Tentatively scheduled for release in July.)

2017 American Housing Survey

The U.S. Census Bureau will release new data from the 2017 American Housing Survey for the nation and 25 metropolitan areas. The release includes the public use file and summary tables on a wide range of housing subjects. The American Housing Survey is conducted biennially and provides statistics on topics such as the physical condition of housing units, indicators of housing and neighborhood quality, and home improvement activities. (Tentatively scheduled for release in July.)

Computer and Internet Use in the United States: 2016

This report uses American Community Survey data to look at access to computers and broadband internet subscriptions nationwide. It also examines the digital divide that exists between those who have and those who lack access to computers and the internet. Important differences can been seen by demographic, social and geographic characteristics. (Tentatively scheduled for release Aug. 7.)

Age, Sex, Race, Hispanic Origin and Foreign-Born Table Packages Now Available

These tables from the 2015 and 2016 Current Population Survey include detailed social and economic statistics for age groups, and the Hispanic, black, Asian and foreign-born populations.  The Foreign-born table package highlights characteristics of the foreign-born population by nativity and U.S. citizenship status, as well as year of entry. (Tentative scheduled for release Aug. 22.)

Income and Poverty in the United States: 2017

On Sept. 12, the Census Bureau will announce its findings on income and poverty for the nation based on the 2018 Annual Social and Economic Supplement to the Current Population Survey. The report will include statistics pertaining to the 2017 calendar year and will also compare trends over time. (Scheduled for release Sept. 12.)

The Supplemental Poverty Measure: 2017

On Sept. 12, the Census Bureau will announce its findings on the supplemental poverty measure for the nation based on the 2018 Annual Social and Economic Supplement to the Current Population Survey. The report will include statistics pertaining to the 2017 calendar year and will also compare trends over time. (Scheduled for release Sept. 12.)

New Time Series for the Monthly Advance Report on Manufacturers’ Shipments, Inventories and Orders

Historical estimates will now be available on a seasonally adjusted basis as well as a not seasonally adjusted basis with the advance report. The Manufacturers’ Shipments, Inventories and Orders (M3) Survey provides broad-based, monthly statistical data on economic conditions in the domestic manufacturing sector. The survey measures current industrial activity and provides an indication of future business trends. (Tentatively scheduled for release July 26.)

2016 Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs

The Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs produces estimates for the number of employer firms, receipts, payroll and employment by gender, ethnicity, race and veteran status of the owners. Data are available for the United States, states and the 50 most populous metropolitan statistical areas. (Scheduled for release Aug. 10.)

Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2017

On Sept. 12, the Census Bureau will announce its findings on health insurance coverage. The report will include national-level statistics from the 2018 Annual Social and Economic Supplement to the Current Population Survey and some national- and state-level statistics from the American Community Survey. It will include data for the 2017 calendar year and compare it with previous years. (Scheduled for release Sept. 12.)

2020 Census Quarterly Program Management Review

July 18 — The U.S. Census Bureau will hold its quarterly 2020 Census Program Management Review on Friday, Aug. 3, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the auditorium at Census Bureau headquarters. Agenda topics include updates on the 2018 Census Test and 2020 Census systems readiness and program management updates.

In order to provide wider access to this event and share information about 2020 Census planning with the public, the Census Bureau will broadcast the review live at <>.
