Learn more about the release of estimates from the American Community Survey (ACS) 1-year data using experimental weights. The ACS is one of the most comprehensive sources of information about the U.S. population, providing crucial demographic, social, economic and housing statistics. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly disrupted the ability to reach people and limited their ability to participate in the 2020 ACS. Therefore, the Census Bureau will release experimental data instead of the standard 1-year data products.
