Exports and Reexports to U.S. Persons in Libya

  • What is a license exception?

    A license exception is an authorization that allows you to export or reexport under stated conditions, items subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) that would otherwise require a license.


  • What types of goods are covered under this license exception?

    This license exception permits the export or reexport to U.S. persons in Libya of certain items listed on the Commerce Control List and controlled for anti-terrorism (AT) reasons only. For further information, read part 740.19 of the Export Administration Regulations.

    Specifically, only goods under the following nine Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs) can be exported using this license exception:
