A. Section 1 - Country Codes Descriptions


POSITION DESCRIPTION
1 1-digit identification code = 1.
2 1-digit direction of trade code.
- 'B' = both exports and imports
- 'E' = exports only
- 'I' = imports only.
3-6 4-digit country code (Schedule C).
7 1-digit digit filler.
8-17 10-digit country name abbreviation.
18 1-digit filler.
19-54 36-digit country name.
55-68 14-digit filler.


B. Section 2 - U.S. Customs District Code and Descriptions


POSITION DESCRIPTION
1 1-digit identification code = 2.
2 1-digit direction of trade code.
- 'B' = both exports and imports
- 'E' = exports only
- 'I' = imports only
3 1-digit filler.
4-5 2-digit district code (Schedule D).
- '58' = Wilmington or Savannah
- '59' = Norfolk, Charleston or Mobile
6 1-digit filler.
7-16 10-digit district name and abbreviation.
17 1-digit filler.
18-45 28-digit district name.
46-68 23-digit filler.

- The Census Bureau identified a processing error that caused incorrect deflators to be applied to the revised data for 2009. The data have been corrected.
