History

History Staff

The U.S. Census Bureau's history staff serves as the institutional memory for the agency. We research and prepare histories of the decennial and economic censuses and the American Community Survey, and maintain the Census Bureau's History Website. We also research and document issues of continuing concern to the agency and serve as a ready resource for questions from Census Bureau personnel and the public.
