The "Deputy Director's Blog" webpage launched in February 2024 as a dedicated space for current Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Ron S. Jarmin, to provide operational updates about the U.S. Census Bureau.  

These blogs will focus on topics important to the deputy director including transformation and modernization, business dynamics, entrepreneurship, technology, urban economics, data access, and statistical disclosure avoidance.   

In 2018, Dr. Ron Jarmin contributed to the “Director’s Blog" webpage while performing the non-exclusive functions and duties of the director. He has also contributed to the “Random Samplings” blog series.
