Arthur F. Young

Arthur F. Young began his career at the U.S. Census Bureau working in Field Division's Washington, D.C., regional office in July 1952. Between 1952. In the years that followed, he worked at the Baltimore, MD, and Rochester, NY, district offices as chief interviewer; the Business Division (where he assisted with development of the first manual and questionnaire for the Current Retail Trade Survey); and Housing Division from 1963-1987, where he ultimately served as division chief.
