Robert Hagan
Robert L. Hagan served as both Deputy Director (1972-1979) and (from March to May 1973) Acting Director of the Census Bureau. Originally hired as a part-time survey interviewer in 1946, Hagan eventually rose to the highest career position at the Census Bureau. Interview conducted on February 26, 1997. [125KB PDF]
