1830 Image Gallery

Census Day for the fifth census was June 1, 1830. Enumerators used uniform printed schedules for the first time for the 1830 census. Because census clerks did not have to sort through a variety of different schedules as in previous censuses, they were able to tabulate the results more efficiently.
