    Benchmarking to the 2007 Economic Census


    Announcements


    Effective with this release, quarterly services estimates are based on a new sample and published on a 2007 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) basis. In addition, quarterly services estimates have been revised to reflect new seasonal factors and results of the 2011 Service Annual Survey. For further information on the new sample or the impact of adopting the 2007 NAICS definitions, see our FAQs.

    Estimates from the 2011 Service Annual Survey (SAS) were released on January 29, 2013. The estimates reflect the introduction of a newly selected sample of businesses and are published based on the 2007 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). The format and structure of the tables containing the estimates as well as the presentation of the tables on the website is improved with this release.
