The January 2026 release for Advance Report on Durable Goods Manufacturers' Shipments, Inventories, and Orders, originally scheduled for February 26, 2026, has been rescheduled for release on March 13, 2026. The January 2026 release for Manufacturers' Shipments, Inventories and Orders Full Report originally scheduled for March 5, 2026 has been rescheduled for release on March 18, 2026. Monthly Advance Report on Durable Goods Manufacturers' Shipments Inventories and Orders

New orders for manufactured durable goods in January, down three of the last four months, decreased $0.1 billion or virtually unchanged to $321.2 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced today. This followed a 0.9 percent December decrease. Excluding transportation, new orders increased 0.4 percent. Excluding defense, new orders increased 0.5 percent. Transportation equipment, also down three of the last four months, drove the decrease, $1.0 billion or 0.9 percent to $113.3 billion.
