Release Process

  • Summary File 2 was released on a state-by-state flow basis through April.
  • National-level figures were released in May.
  • We announced which states would be released the week prior to their release.
  • The information was available on an embargoed basis for accredited media beginning on Tuesdays.
  • The news release and counts were available on the Census Bureau's public website on Thursday mornings.
