Finding Your Roots - Beyond the Name

Description

While the decennial census schedules are the best source for information about a particular person or family, other information gathered during the census allows the researcher to find context for how these people lived and where they fit into their community and American history. Using the family of Laura Ingalls Wilder and the 1880 Census, it is possible to create a roadmap to assist someone in tracing their ancestors and to illustrate how to use all forms of census data.
