The combined value of distributive trade sales and manufacturers’ shipments for June, adjusted for seasonal and trading day differences but not for price changes, was estimated at $2,111.3 billion, down 1.1 percent (±0.2 percent) from May 2026, but was up 10.0 percent (±0.3 percent) from June 2025.
Inventories
Manufacturers’ and trade inventories for June, adjusted for seasonal and trading day differences but not for price changes, were estimated at an end-of-month level of $2,740.2 billion, virtually unchanged (±0.1 percent)* from May 2026, but were up 3.0 percent (±0.5 percent) from June 2025.
Inventories/Sales Ratio
The total business inventories/sales ratio based on seasonally adjusted data at the end of June was 1.30. The June 2025 ratio was 1.39.
