All Census Bureau demographic surveys collect information about children. The information collected varies by survey.

What information is available on Children?

The Census Bureau has data available on child wellbeing, health insurance coverage, age and sex, living arrangements and those living in poverty to just name a few. Data collected may vary according to program or survey. The Census Bureau has a variety of publications available on this topic.

You can access data on children through the American Community Survey (ACS), Current Population Survey (CPS), the Decennial Census, and the Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP).

The Census Bureau works with other statistical agencies in collecting and disseminating data on children. This data may be from surveys as well as administrative records.
