Understanding the Differences in Population Estimates and Projections

Description

Each year, the Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program uses current data on births, deaths, and migration to calculate the population change since the most recent Decennial Census and produces a time series of estimates of population, demographic components of change, and housing units. Population projections are estimates of the population for future dates.

Join us for this webinar to learn how to access these data, the difference between the estimates and projections, the geographic levels that these data are available, examples of how these data are used, and how to use the information using some real-life scenarios.
