An Analysis of the Millennial Generation

Activity Description

Millennial Generation

Students will look at data showing how the “millennial” generation differs from other generations. They will analyze and evaluate social changes evident in the data. Then they will work with a partner to compose a newsletter.

10-12

Approximate Time Required

180 Minutes

Learning Objectives

  • Students will be able to analyze information about societal changes during millennials’ young adulthood and determine how the millennial generation differs from other generations.
  • Students will be able to create and present a newsletter explaining characteristics of millennials as young adults in the United States.

Materials Required

  • The student version of this activity, 8 pages
  • A computer, with Internet access and Microsoft Word, for at least each partner group
