Partner With SIS

The U.S. Census Bureau invites teachers and educational organizations to partner with the agency to promote the Statistics in Schools (SIS) program. Partner support makes it possible for more students to benefit from SIS resources that expand their ability to understand and use statistics in a data-driven world.

Become an SIS Ambassador

About: The Statistics in Schools (SIS) Ambassador Program is a collaborative effort by educators, librarians, and the Census Bureau to discuss and determine the needs of teachers and students in today’s data-driven world and provide educators with real-life tools and data to boost the statistical literacy of K-12 students.

Commitment: Ambassadors are encouraged to promote use of SIS materials and to participate in select SIS virtual events and special initiatives – an estimated 5-10 hours/school year.

Perks: Being an ambassador gives you a voice in the development of new SIS products and opens the door to customized virtual field trips and sessions with Census Bureau statisticians ready to field your questions about real data. The role also provides opportunities to network with other educators across the country and learn innovative ways to bring census statistics into the classroom. Plus, ambassadors receive a digital badge and other potential national recognition opportunities.
