Orient Yourself with Large Census Geographies

Description

This session builds on our earlier presentation about small geographies, but no prior attendance is required. We’ll take a closer look at larger Census geographies — what they include, how they’re structured, and why we think of them as “large.” We’ll also break down the differences between 1-year and 5-year ACS data and compare ACS with Decennial Census geographies and population counts. In this session the subject geographies will include State, County, City, Metropolitan Statistical Area and PUMA (Public-use Micro-data Area).
