Statistics in Schools

The Importance of SIS in 2020

Using new Statistics in Schools (SIS) resources during the 2019-2020 school year will support efforts to make sure EVERY child is counted in the 2020 Census. This count impacts the federal funds that communities receive for special education, classroom technology, teacher training, after-school programs, school lunch assistance, and more. These teacher-created resources for pre-K through 12th grade also are easy to adapt for home learning. The teacher version of each activity comes with instructions that make it simple for parents and other caregivers to use it.
