The North Star Editorial – “The Rights of Women”

In July 1848, Frederick Douglass was one of more than 300 men and women who assembled in Seneca Falls, N.Y., for the first women's rights convention in the United States. Shortly thereafter, his newspaper, The North Star, published an editorial on the intersection of the women’s rights and abolitionist movements.
