This study helps to specify native-country characteristics and conditions that are associated with unauthorized migration to the United States, and it investigates how these vary by region, particularly for Europe, Latin America, and Asia.  Linkages between country characteristics and rates of unauthorized migration to the United States are analyzed for 69 sample countries.
