The Census Bureau operates under a comprehensive set of data stewardship policies and procedures that reflect the legal, ethical, and reporting obligations levied by Title 13 of the U.S. Code, the Privacy Act, and other applicable statutes. The policies below are also built around a core set of Privacy Principles; promises we make to our respondents that embody the ethical principles of the Belmont Report.
