Notice: Revision of Table
July 22, 2025 - The 2022 SUSB Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) by 3-digit NAICS table that was originally released on May 29, 2025, was revised and is available below. The revised table reflects the removal of extraneous estimates that were previously included. All remaining estimates remain unchanged and match the originally published estimates.
The Census Bureau identified an error in the 2022 SUSB Annual Data by Establishment Industry, Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) by 3-digit NAICS table. The table was temporarily removed and was replaced when an updated version became available. No additional tables previously released were affected.
Statistics of U.S. Businesses (SUSB) annual or static data include number of firms, number of establishments, employment, annual payroll, and receipts for most U.S. business establishments. The data are tabulated by geographic area, industry, and enterprise employment or receipts size. The industry classification is based on 2017 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes. An establishment with 0 employment is an establishment with no paid employees in the mid-March pay period but with paid employees at some time during the year.
