Economic Census Industry Series: Petroleum Wholesalers

The U.S. Census Bureau today released additional figures from the 2012 Economic Census Industry Series reports for the wholesale trade sector of the economy. This release includes new statistics for petroleum and petroleum products merchant wholesalers (NAICS 4247). Examples found in this industry include gasoline merchant wholesalers, lubricating oil and grease merchant wholesalers, and petroleum bulk stations and terminals.
The data from the 2012 Economic Census (as well as historical information from the 2007, 2002, and 1997 economic censuses) are available on census.gov. Reference information about the economic census, including a data release schedule, is available on the 2012 Economic Census home page.
