Statistician/Demographer, Population Estimates Branch, Population Division

David Ihrke is a statistician/demographer in the Population Division’s Estimates Branch at the U.S. Census Bureau. He leads the military team for Demographic Analysis and Population Estimates. His research interests include domestic migration and the comparability of domestic migration estimates of various Census Bureau products. David has been at the Census Bureau since 2008 when he joined the Journey-to-Work and Migration Statistics Branch where he was a subject matter expert on place of birth and migration for the American Community Survey, Current Population Survey, and Island Areas Decennial Census. He earned his master’s degree from Bowling Green State University.
