Survey Statistician, Health and Disability Branch, Social, Economic and Housing Statistics Division

Halelujha Ketema is a survey statistician in the U.S. Census Bureau’s Health and Disability Statistics Branch in the Social, Economic, and Housing Statistics Division, where she works with health insurance data from the Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement and the American Community Survey.

Ketema primarily focuses on survey methodology and data dissemination. Her research examines health insurance coverage patterns and contributes to data quality improvement initiatives. Among her recent work: methodological analysis of health insurance coverage data and evaluation of survey data quality across demographic groups.

Before joining the Census Bureau, Ketema worked at NORC, also known as the National Opinion Research Center, at the University of Chicago, supporting projects related to health care delivery, public health research and policy evaluation.

She earned a bachelor's degree in public health from the University of Maryland, College Park.
