James Christy is the former Acting Associate Director for Demographic Programs.

In this role, he oversaw the Census Bureau’s work to report on the social, economic and health status of the nation’s population.

He previously served in the Field Directorate and has worked in numerous capacities and locations during his 38 year tenure with the Census Bureau.
