Scott H. Holan

Senior Research Fellow, Research and Methodology Directorate

Scott H. Holan is professor of Statistics and Public Affairs at University of Missouri and serves as a senior research fellow in the Office of the Associate Director for Research and Methodology (Research and Methodology Directorate) at the U.S. Census Bureau. His research focuses on developing statistical and machine learning (ML) methodology for dependent data (spatial, spatio-temporal, functional, and multivariate, among others), Bayesian methods, official statistics, and survey methodology. He is an elected fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA), fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS), elected member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). He serves on the editorial board for several leading statistics journals. Professor Holan received his PhD in Statistics from Texas A&M University.
