AUG. 28, 2019 — The U.S. Census Bureau released the Supplemental Quarterly Retail E-Commerce table. This is a new experimental data product that provides more granular e-commerce estimates.

The Quarterly Retail E-Commerce Sales Report provides national total retail e-commerce sales estimates on a quarterly basis. The new Supplemental Quarterly Retail E-Commerce table shows e-commerce sales broken out by retailers’ primary kind of business.

As part of its retail programs, the Census Bureau publishes quarterly and annual reports on e-commerce sales. The evolution of e-commerce is a particularly noteworthy topic to many retail industry experts, analysts, policymakers and consumers. The Census Bureau encourages feedback on this new experimental data product.
