On March 5, 2026, a processing error was identified in the RHFS occupancy status rates data originally released on 2/19/26. The mean/median percentages as well as the numbers reported in the distribution categories "Less than 10 percent" and "Not Reported" have now been updated for the 13 sub-tables affected.

This error also impacts previous versions of the RHFS data in 2015, 2018, and 2021, which have not been updated. For 2015-2021 the occupancy status rate data for the mean and median percentages are not correct. Prior year data for the distribution categories “Less than 10 percent” and “Not Reported” are not directly comparable to the corrected 2024 data.
