Our goal in creating X-13-Graph was to provide specific types of time series graphs in a package that would be easy for everyone to use. There are three versions of the program available for download:
Documentation and examples are available for X-13-Graph Java, X-13-Graph Batch, and the X-13-Graph Batch Windows interface.
SAS software is registered trademark of the SAS Institute Inc. in the USA and other countries. ® indicates USA registration.
Persons with visual difficulties who have trouble using these applications should call 301-763-7426 for assistance.
This release includes a new option to specify a label for the y-axis, changes the default y-axis range for ACF graphs to -1 to 1, and fixes some minor bugs.
Distribution files for the latest version of X-13-Graph and the X-13-Graph Windows Interface can be found below. Installation instructions can also be found below.
The X-13-Graph Batch program requires SAS/GRAPH® and SAS Version 8 or 9; Windows; and X-13ARIMA-SEATS (or Version 0.2.8 or later of X-12-ARIMA).
You must run X-13ARIMA-SEATS in graphics mode to take advantage of X-13-Graph. For more information on running in graphics mode, see the X-13ARIMA-SEATS Reference Manual or the "Getting Started with X-12-ARIMA Input Files (PC)" paper.
X-13-Graph requires Java Version 6.0 or higher to run. It creates graphs from graphics files created using X-13ARIMA-SEATS, X-12-ARIMA Version 0.3, or higher.
You must run X-13ARIMA-SEATS (or X-12-ARIMA) in graphics mode to take advantage of X-13-Graph. For more information on running in graphics mode, see the X-13ARIMA-SEATS Reference Manual or the Getting Started with X-13ARIMA-SEATS Input Files paper.
Before you can use X-13-Graph, you must copy it to your computer:
X-13-Graph Batch consists of a SAS program, a subdirectory with two SAS files, and an images subdirectory, as well as the program documentation. After uncompressing x13gbat_V3.0.zip, the following files should be in the c:\x13graph directory:
x13gbat.sas
x13gbat.htm
The c:\x13graph\appl directory should contain the following files:
Namelist.sas7bdat
Templt.sas7bcat
There should also be a directory c:\x13graph\images containing examples of the graphs that can be created.
The two SAS files in the appl subdirectory must be in that directory for the program to run. The SAS program x13gbat.sas can be stored in any directory.
SAS and SAS/GRAPH software are registered trademarks of the SAS Institute Inc. in the USA and other countries. ® indicates USA registration.
Users with older versions of Windows may need to install the Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.6 to use the interface. If it is not found on your computer, you will be prompted to download and install it when you attempt to install the interface.
To install the program, first unzip the file x13gbi_V3.0.zip to your computer. This zip folder has a directory (x13gbi) which contains two files, the program executable x13GraphBatch.exe and its configuration file, x13GraphBatch.exe.config, as well as a subdirectory appl containing the necessary data sets and catalogs for the X-13-Graph SAS program to run. To start the program, double click on x13GraphBatch.exe.
Now you are ready to run the program. Open (double click on) the file X13GraphJava.jar to start the program. If your computer cannot open executable jar files directly, then at the command prompt, enter
java -jar fullpath /X13GraphJava.jar
