How can I determine what geographic boundaries (or vintages) are used in the American Community Survey (ACS)?

The American Community Survey (ACS) typically publishes estimates using the latest available geographic boundaries (also known as “vintages”). Visit the Geography Boundaries by Year page to learn more about when the ACS used particular boundaries for Metropolitan Statistical Areas, Congressional Districts, and more.

You can also view the Reference Maps on the Geography website to see the boundaries and names of geographic areas.
