This is the first of three final Census Reports on Agriculture of the Thirteenth Census, taken in the year 1910. The statistics on farms and farm property, tenure, mortgage debt, color and nativity of farmers, and size of farms were collected in 1910, and relate to the date of April 15, 1910. The statistics for farm production (crops and live stock products) and for selected farm expenses and receipts are for the calendar year 1909.
Volume V contains the 12 “separates” listed as Chapters below.
Census statistics date back to 1790 and reflect the growth and change of the United States. Past census reports contain some terms that today’s readers may consider obsolete and inappropriate. As part of our goal to be open and transparent with the public, we are improving access to all Census Bureau original publications and statistics, which serve as a guide to the nation's history.
