Private School Enrollment, Tuition, and Enrollment Trends: October 1979

This report presents data on private nursery school, kindergarten, elementary, and high school enrollment. The report contrasts private with public enrollment by such characteristics as race, Spanish origin, and metropolitan residence. Other cross-classifications include family income and tuition expenses along with education of householder. The report compares church-related with other private schools for 1979 and traces trends in total enrollment since 1948 for public and private elementary schools and high schools.
