On May 29, 2015, the U.S. Census Bureau held the Forum on Ethnic Groups from the Middle East and North Africa.
During the forum, the Census Bureau updated participants on efforts to test a “Middle Eastern or North African” (MENA) category on the 2015 National Content Test. Feedback was collected on the term “Middle Eastern or North African,” and the Census Bureau’s plans to classify and tabulate Middle Eastern and North African responses for the 2020 Census.
