Mobile Survey Design Research Experiment 11: Logout Button Placement

Abstract

The present study compared usability among three “Save & Logout” placement designs: visible on screen, inside main menu, and inside sub-menu. The findings show that participants 100% successfully logout of the survey with the on-screen and main-menu designs, while 54% with the sub-menu design; logout action is fastest with on-screen design; and more participants prefer on-screen placement than the other two designs.
