Implementing Interactive Classification Tools in the 2022 Economic Census

Abstract
Improving classification and modernizing the data review process have been high priorities for the 2022 Economic Census. The development of dynamic industry and product classification tools for the electronic instrument supports both of these goals. Testing has shown these interactive new systems will provide high quality classification information while reducing labor intensive resolution of write-ins.
