The Census Bureau today released the following Economic Census products:
Economic Census Subject Series Reports on Establishments and Firm Size
These reports present receipts, payroll and employment data for the United States by various categories. For establishments, the categories are receipts size, employment size and legal form of organization. For firms, the categories are receipts size, employment size, concentration by largest firms and number of establishments operated (single units and multiunits).
The following two sectors are now available. These are the first reports in the subject series for these sectors:
Economic Census Subject Series Reports on Product Lines
These reports present national and state-level data at the two through six- or seven-digit North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) level. They provide statistics on number of establishments and sales/receipts/revenue by products and contributing industry. This completes the release of the product lines reports.
Reports are released for the following seven sectors:
2012 Economic Census Subject Series: Wholesale Trade-Miscellaneous Reports
These reports present data for a variety of industry-specific topics, such as end of year inventories, for establishments of firms with payroll. Presentation of data varies by kind of business. This concludes the Subject Series for the Wholesale Trade Sector.
