Statistician/Demographer, Net International Migration Branch, Population Division

Anthony Knapp is a statistician/demographer in the Population Division’s Net International Migration Branch at the U.S. Census Bureau. He leads the International Migration team for the 2020 Demographic Analysis. He also led research and production of net international migration estimates for the Population Estimates Program. His focus is on estimation methods related to flows, demographic composition and geographic distribution of recent immigrants. He has written working papers on topics related to emigration and international student mobility. Anthony worked on the 2010 Census when he first joined the Census Bureau in 2009 and also worked in the Geography and Population divisions. He received a master’s in geography from Michigan State University.
