Assistant Chief, Public Information Office, U.S. Census Bureau

Christine Taylor is assistant division chief for the Public Information Office. She was the assistant news director at WJZ-TV in Baltimore for nearly 16 years and was instrumental in developing and growing the station’s online and social media presence in addition to overseeing more than seven hours of on-air news coverage daily.

Taylor has worked as a broadcast journalist for almost 30 years and her career has taken her to affiliates in such markets as Washington, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Pittsburgh. She is currently working towards a master’s degree in marketing management at University of Maryland, University College and earned her undergraduate degree in English journalism from the University of Delaware. An adjunct professor at Goucher College in Baltimore, Taylor has taught broadcast journalism and intercultural communications for the last 13 years. A native of New Jersey, Taylor lives in Maryland with her husband, Dan, and daughter, Ryan.
